How offline mode works on mobile and how data syncs.
The Finaps mobile app works fully offline. You can add, edit, and delete transactions, view your dashboard, check budgets, and browse your history — all without an internet connection.
Finaps stores a local copy of your data in an SQLite database on your device (using WAL mode for performance). When you make changes offline, they are queued in a sync queue. As soon as your device reconnects to the internet, the queue is processed and changes are pushed to the server.
If the same transaction is edited on two devices while offline, Finaps uses server-authoritative conflict resolution: the most recent change (by timestamp) wins. In rare cases where this is ambiguous, both versions are preserved and you are asked to choose which one to keep.
Most features work offline with some exceptions.
Offline data is encrypted on-device using your device's secure storage. If you uninstall the app, the local data is deleted.
