Link your bank via Plaid to auto-import transactions.
Finaps uses Plaid — a trusted financial data aggregator used by thousands of apps — to securely connect to your bank. Plaid supports most major banks in the US and EU.
Follow these steps to link your bank account.
Plaid imports the transaction date, amount, merchant name, and pending status. Finaps automatically categorizes each imported transaction using our 3-tier AI categorization system. You can review and adjust categories at any time.
Your bank credentials are handled entirely by Plaid and are never transmitted to or stored on Finaps servers. Plaid is SOC 2 Type II certified and uses AES-256 encryption. You can disconnect your bank at any time from Settings → Connected Accounts.
If your bank is not supported by Plaid, you can import transactions manually via CSV or OFX file. Go to Settings → Import Data, upload your file, and map the columns to Finaps fields.
Most banks let you export transactions as CSV from their online banking portal. Look for an "Export" or "Download" option in your transaction history.
