Carry unused budget into the next period automatically.
Budget rollover lets unused budget carry forward to the next period. If you budget $500 for groceries in March and only spend $400, the remaining $100 rolls into April, giving you a $600 grocery budget.
When creating or editing a budget, toggle "Enable Rollover" on. Rollover works with weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly budgets. Yearly budgets do not support rollover.
At the end of each period, Finaps checks the difference between your budget and actual spend. If you are under budget, the difference is added to the next period. If you are over budget, the overspend is subtracted from the next period. This way, overspending one month naturally tightens the next month.
Rollover amounts are capped at 100% of your original budget to prevent unrealistic accumulation. For example, a $500 budget can roll over a maximum of $500.
